Melanie Ducharme is very excited to join our team at Live Fit. She is originally from LI New York, where she grew up. She later moved to CT and decided to settle in SC in 2009.
Melanie has struggled with her weight at a young age. She began dieting on her own at age 15 and later got diagnosed with an eating disorder. In her late 20’s she was at her heaviest, weighing over 200lbs and being only 5’ tall, she knew she needed to make some changes. She was feeling defeated when she decided to do research on healthy eating habits and a healthy lifestyle. After figuring out a goal and program right for her, she took charge of her life and began losing weight the healthy way. Through exercise and a healthy diet, she lost over 80lbs in just over a year. She has kept her weight off and continues to live a healthy lifestyle.
After meeting goal after goal and feeling better and better, Melanie decided to go to school to become a personal trainer so she can help others reach their fitness goals. Melanie is certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and is studying to become a fitness nutritional specialist as well. She enjoys working with a variety of people with different goals but her passion is helping people lose weight and tone and most importantly, feel great!
Melanie looks forward to working with you and helping you achieve your fitness goals.
